In July I was invited to share some writing and editing advice as part of the Poetry Book Society’s #Poetips video series. Intended to inspire and encourage those entering this year’s PBS/Mslexia Women’s Poetry Prizes (deadline 5pm, 16 September), #Poetips has featured poems and writing tips from a number of established and emerging women poets, including Sinéad Morrissey, Gillian Allnutt, Lydia Kennaway, Rebecca Goss and Degna Stone. Needless to say, it’s been an honour and a privilege to be included.
My PBS group interview with poet friends Niamh O’Connell (Twitter: @NiamhIsWriting) and Ji Ye (Instagram: @jiji721) is available to watch below, and the full series can be accessed via the PBS Youtube Channel and blog.
There are only two and a half days left to submit poems into the 2019 Women’s Poetry Prizes, judged this year by award winning poet Malika Booker (click here for details); best of luck to all of those entering!
